About Me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience, having worked across the NHS, the charitable sector, and in private practice. My work has primarily focused on supporting children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of psychological challenges.

I believe that everyone will experience some form of mental health difficulty at different points in their lives. My goal is to equip people with the tools they need to manage these periods and build long-term wellbeing. I have a particular interest in supporting young adults as they navigate the transition from school to their next steps, whether that’s moving into work, further study, or simply figuring out what’s right for them.

Approach

I aim to create a relaxed, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable talking about your emotions and experiences. Everyone is different, so our sessions will be tailored to suit your individual needs and preferences.

I understand it can feel daunting to talk to someone new. If it helps, you're very welcome to bring someone along to your sessions (e.g. a parent). And if sitting and talking doesn’t feel quite right for you, that’s absolutely fine too, many of the young people I work with prefer to chat while we play board games. Jenga and Operation are current favourites, but you’re always welcome to bring your own games, crafts, or activities that help you feel more at ease. I'm flexible, just let me know what feels most comfortable for you, and we’ll work together to make that happen.

In our first few sessions, we’ll take time to explore what you hope to get out of therapy. We will build a shared understanding of your current challenges (what psychologists call a "formulation"), which helps us make sense of what's going on and what might be keeping things stuck. From there, we’ll start to explore tools, strategies, and small changes that can support you in reaching your goals.

Everyone is different, so will I draw on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), systemic therapy, and attachment-based models—always adapting the therapy to best suit your needs.
